These are the most senseless cars of all time
Car manufacturers are investing millions in new cars. But they don't always make sense. Subaru and CO. would have been better off saving these 5 cars.

The most important facts in brief
-
Manufacturers are investing millions in the development of new vehicles.
-
But not all cars achieve the desired success.
-
Impractical, high costs or unsuitable concepts characterize these models.
A clear profile, a customer need and stable sales, these cars did not have any of that.
Here are the top 5 most pointless cars of all time.
5th place: Hummer H1
Made famous by the first Gulf War, the Hummer H1 was originally a vehicle of the US Army.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, enthusiastic about the military model, convinced AM General to build a civilian version.

After its launch in 1992, however, it became clear that a military vehicle in everyday life is as useful as a fighter jet for a vacation.
Too big, too heavy and enormous diesel consumption led to the H1 experiment being discontinued in 2006 after only 11,000 units.
4th place: Subaru SVX
Subaru is known for its inexpensive and robust all-wheel drive vehicle. But the SVX, a sports coupé from the early 90s, was to be something completely different.
However, Giugaro's design, a 3.3-liter boxer engine and a top speed of 235 km/h were not convincing.

Despite its qualities and a small fan base, the attempt to offer a Subaru at the Mercedes price was a flop.
Only about 25,000 units were built.
3rd place: Audi Q7 V12 TDI
The Audi V12 TDI in the Q7 was the only standard V12 diesel.
This engine, introduced in 2008, was supposed to bring Audi's Le Mans successes to the road.
Technically, the Audi Q7 V12 TDI was impressive. However, with 500 hp and 1000 Newton meters of torque, it was the answer to a question that no one had asked.

Especially in the important US market, where diesel had a bad reputation, it was not very well received.
He was hired in 2012. A premature end for the most extreme series diesel of all time.
2nd place: Dodge Ram SRT-10
In the early 2000s, Dodge came up with the idea of installing an 8.3-liter Viper engine in the Ram pick-up truck.

The SRT-10 sold only around 10,000 units and was discontinued after two years.
Its high fuel consumption and the combination of rear-wheel drive and enormous power, which could lead to loss of control, made it impractical.
1st place: Aston Martin Cygnet
The Aston Martin Cygnet was a redesigned Toyota IQ, sold as a premium small car.
The idea was probably to reduce the brand's CO2 cut and make a profit at the same time.

But customers did not see the Cygnet as a real Aston Martin, but as what it was: a small car with a different logo and three times the price.
After less than 600 units were sold, the project was discontinued.
